Fund Profile
The Blue Green White Venture Capital Mutual Fund is registered as a Venture Capital Mutual Fund (A.K.E.S.) in Greece, governed by law 2992/20.3.2002. AKES is a tax transparent investment vehicle, whose listing on the Athens Stock Exchange Market is optional. The existence of a Management Company as well as a Custodian is obligatory. AKES is not incorporated, but governed by an establishment and Management Agreement.
The structure is a quasi-equity Venture Capital Mutual Fund established in 2020 for a term of 10 years and managed by Rochelle Capital Management AEDAKES.
BGW VCMF is allowed to invest in Greek SMEs by means of convertible, exchangeable, or profit participating bonds, debentures or notes, or by way of any type of loan convertible to equity. The Structure may also invest, for antidilution purposes, in warrants or other securities or interests giving the right to acquire equity in Investee Companies, and in common bonds for bridge financing purposes of existing Investments.
The structure is a debt (quasi-equity) fund primarily, but not exclusively, investing in the sectors of Sustainable Development, Environment, Blue & Green Innovation and Technologies, Efficiencies in Mobility, Marine and Maritime Sector Energy and energy efficiency, Waste Management, Water Services, Natural Resources Management, Tourism, Art, Culture & Leisure, Real Estate development, Building (with focus on
novel building materials, practices, or structures), Smart Networks, Innovative products and solutions, Sustainable food production, management and best practices, Health Care, Hospitality, etc.
Investee Companies can be at any stage of development (seed, early stage, growth, expansion, maturity). The Fund may also invest in SMEs in need of restructuring, reorganization or similar transformations. The Fund may also pursue investments with the view to merge SMEs for the purpose of value creation.
Financed jointly by Hellenic Development Bank of Investments S.A and Private investors, BGW AKES has under management 30M€ notional value at call.
Meaningful Investments
BGW VCMF objective goal is to pinpoint and invest in the coexistence and interaction between entrepreneurship and sustainability. BGW aims to invest, primarily but not exclusively, in projects where economic viability and sustainability are solid bases.
Health
A company with the aim of providing specialized high level health services at an affordable cost.
The company aims:
a) to address problems of subfertility, chronic pain, gynecological issues
b) to provide specialized diagnostic tests to specific populations (e.g. ship crews and shipping workers, couples who are going to undergo IVF procedures, people facing diseases related to anxiety, etc.
c) the provision of beauty and wellness services under medical supervision.
Construction
A company specialized in the supply (in the form of sale or lease installation of prefabricated commercial and industrial buildings, covering the needs of building infrastructure in industrial units, recycling units, ports, logistics, army, facilities for humanitarian aid, sports facilities, exhibition centers, venues etc.
Advantages of prefabricated buildings are the possibility of immediate construction of environmentally friendly building infrastructure at a significantly lower cost of construction and annual maintenance compared to traditional methods and buildings.
In addition, the possibility of their immediate transfer and relocation is provided, as well as the possibility of rapid expansion and modification of the infrastructure according to the needs of each company – customer, while at the same time the resale value is maintained after their use.
Real Estate
A company that aims to create a portfolio of a significant number of small smart green flats suitable for students dorms and young people who wish to buy and/or rent a property in areas of high interest. In this context, small properties will be sought, mainly in cities hosting students, which will be renovated and configured
appropriately, always with ecological materials, furniture, and environmentally friendly energy solutions.
Consuming & Manufacturing
A company with the aim of producing, trading and distributing extra virgin olive oil (“elixir” has health designation based on the European Legislation No. EU No. 432/2012).
Also, the company entered into cooperation for the production, packaging and distribution of by-products, such as soap and creams Care.
Business related Technology
A company that utilizing a wide range of technologies and specializes in the provision of integrated services related to real estate.
The company has developed an online interface and data concentration electronic platform to connect selected real estate agents, engineers, lawyers and notaries throughout Greece through which services will be provided and needs related to real estate will be covered.
At the same time, it plans to create a nationwide network of physical stores and service points in order to facilitate natural and legal persons in receiving high-quality integrated services related to real estate.
Agriculture
A company founded by a group of university professors and scientists with specialized knowledge in the field of primary agricultural production and especially strawberries. The company’s goal is to develop an innovative vertical hydroponic installation for strawberry cultivation.
At the same time, the company has developed a special industrial area for storage, processing and standardization of the produced products, while a processing line for the supplementary and unsuitable parts of the production to produce marketable by-products as oil, jam, etc. will also operate.
